WELCOME TO S.A.A.F.

Springfield’s First Low-Cost Spay-Neuter Clinic

Our mission is to lead a collaborative effort in Southwest Missouri to improve animal welfare, promote accountability in pet ownership, and reduce animal overpopulation

At SAAF, we provide expert care at an affordable price.

In September 2007 a group of individuals from local animal welfare agencies began meeting to discuss ways we could partner with Springfield-Greene County Animal Control to address animal welfare issues.

The result: Springfield Animal Advocacy Foundation (SAAF).

Our dream: A no-kill community by 2018. We took a significant step towards that dream with the opening of S.A.A.F. Spay Neuter Clinic in August 2010. SAAF Spay Neuter Clinic is Missouri’s first Humane Alliance model spay/neuter clinic, providing the highest quality services at the lowest cost.

If everyone took personal responsibility for their animals, we wouldn't have a lot of the animal problems that we do. I'm a big spay-and-neuter supporter. Don't have babies if you're not going to take care of those babies. We don't need more.
